‘May You Be Well (Taken Care of)‘ is a performance-based project built on a tasting menu format.

The menu’s three plant-based courses (Oyster, Egg, and Mother’s Milk) represent a method of celebrating care and attention to intimate ecology: perhaps to the point of leaving an aftertaste of being unwillingly mothered.

The dishes served in a specially-made dinnerware set, created by capturing textures of the sea using ceramics, aided the performers in catering to each other.

The delicately composed choreography explored dynamic relationships based on mutual hierarchies and the theory of hydrofeminist hypersea.

‘May You Be Well (Taken Care of)‘ has been shown during ‘Geen Lights 2022‘, an annual exhibition organised by graduating students of Minerva Art Academy.
The show consisted of an adaptation of the performance set and a screen playing a video of the performance itself.
